Internal Audit (“IA”):
Internal audit has traditionally been seen as transaction based compliance. However, the role of IA is changing, evolving from a traditional auditing role, to that of an internal consultant and involvement in top-level decision making. The role of internal auditors today is to be the ‘ears and eyes’ of management.
SBS GA’s Internal Audit Methodology is developed based on the cornerstone of the Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance. Our role is to assess whether the controls are properly designed, implemented and working effectively, and making value added recommendations to our clients.
Besides the functional internal audit engagement, SBS GA also renders IA services via out-sourcing and co-sourcing.
Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM"):
Businesses are not always certain about the risks they face. They may not always correctly identify the associated risks or fully benefit from the value of their risk investment. At the same time, risks are no longer viewed as merely threats, but also in many cases, opportunities to be embraced.
Our risk management methodology emulates the Australian and New Zealand Risk Management Standard AS/NZS 4360 and forms our approach to risk management at a holistic level which provides a robust methodology for risk identification, analysis and treatment of risk for the company.
